Frequently asked questions.

What is the difference between brass and red brass?

Brass is an alloy of copper and zinc. Red brass (gunmetal) also contains tin, is particularly corrosion-resistant and casts well – which is why it is popular for valves and pump housings.

What does hot pressing mean?

In hot pressing, a heated brass blank is pressed into shape in a die. This produces dense, strong parts with a good surface – typical for valve and fitting bodies.

Which part sizes are possible in brass?

In brass and red brass we supply parts from 10 g to 50 kg and with diameters from 10 mm to 600 mm. Larger parts on request.
