Frequently asked questions.

What is the difference between 1.4301 and 1.4401?

1.4401 (AISI 316) additionally contains molybdenum, making it more resistant to chloride-containing media such as salt water or cleaning agents. 1.4301 (AISI 304) is the universal standard for applications without special corrosion stress.

When is investment casting the right choice, and when sand casting?

Investment casting suits complex, intricate parts with fine surfaces and tight tolerances – often without rework. Sand casting is more economical for larger and simpler components.

Do you supply ready-to-install stainless steel parts?

Yes. On request, castings are CNC-machined and delivered ready to install.
